Quinn Alvarez
Senior Colorist
Apache

Quinn Alvarez’s expressive and boundary-pushing work has elevated the storytelling of feature films, commercials, documentaries, and music videos. His passion projects of the last year include the “Four Seasons Total Documentary” for MSNBC, and “Neymar: The Perfect Chaos” for Netflix, executive produced by LeBron James.

Cutting his teeth at Prettybird Pictures, Quinn worked closely with directing heavyweights such as Paul Hunter, Melina Matsoukas, and Eric Wareheim. His digital paintbrush can be found in the influential work of Pharrell Williams, Travis Scott, Major Lazer, Tierra Whack, and others.

Born and raised on Whittier Boulevard, Quinn’s Mexican-American roots inspire him to push the film industry to better reflect the city that he loves: Los Angeles. Quinn mentors creators from all walks of life and finds deep gratification in supporting people of color throughout the film industry. His day job is making sure things are pretty on the screen, but his life’s work is making sure things are beautiful behind the camera.
