LEARN MORE ABOUT GENEVIEVE:

Genevieve began taking photography classes at Venice Arts in 2007 and immediately fell in love with the medium. She continued her involvement all through high school, and in 2009 she was asked to participate in an Advanced Studies class called Youth Media Crew, where students worked on creating both community and personal multi-media stories. Genevieve worked with a fellow student on a video portrait of a Venice local entitled “Scotty’s Lantern House”. The project has been being featured in numerous teen film festivals including the Santa Monica Teen Film Festival, the YAM Festival, and the CineYouth Film Festival (part of the Chicago International Film Festival). During the year she spent in Youth Media Crew, Genevieve became passionate about editing and documentary film work along with photography.

Genevieve was a Youth Art Intern at the Venice Arts Gallery in 2009–2010 and in 2010 had the opportunity to work as an intern for film editor Eric Beason on “The Stepfather” at Anonymous Content through a Venice Arts program that places highly skilled teens in creative production and post-production businesses. In 2012, Genevieve was a recipient of the prestigious Warner Bros. REACH Honorship, which includes a $10,000 college scholarship and paid summer internships at Warner Bros. Genevieve recently graduated from Reed College.
