May 14 - July 29 | This exhibition showcases the best of our students' films, photographs, animations, comics, and mixed- and multi-media pieces from our award-winning Art Mentoring workshops. June 12 – June 25 | This exhibit, co-organized by Venice Arts and Liberty Hill Foundation, introduced the environmental portraits Warren Hill has been taking since 2012 of members of grassroots community organizing groups in Los Angeles and of jazz and blues musicians performing in and around L.A.
June 23 | June's installment of Women's Voices on Screen featured the film The Light in Her Eyes, and guest speakers Karam Foundation's Nada Hashem, Syrian actor Jay Abdo, and artist and activist Fadia Afashe for a community discussion on the war in Syria and the ongoing refugee crisis.
August 25 | August's installment of Women's Voices on Screen featured the films In Limbo: Kashmir's Half Widows and In Search of America, Inshallah. The screening was followed by a community discussion between Roopashree Jeevaji (actor, producer, In Search of America, Inshallah), Nicholas Guilak (Actor, In Search of America, Inshallah), and Gaya Bhola (Producer, In Search of America, Inshallah; Executive Producer, Half Widow), moderated by Women's Voices Now's Kelsey Cherland.
May 26 | May’s installment of Women's Voices on Screen featured the films The Path to Follow (Afghanistan), Waylowaylo (Senegal), Voices of the Forest: Myanmar (Myanmar), and Ms. Ma and Her Literacy Class (China), as well as a community discussion moderated by Venice Art’s lead Filmmaker Christian Rozier.v

March 24 | March's installment of Women's Voices on Screen featured the films It Is Written (Netherlands), Feminin Masculin (Iran), and Final Moments (UK), with a discussion moderated by Roxana Ganji & Amitis Motevalli.
March 4 - April 7 | Co-organized by Venice Arts and Month of Photography Los Angeles (MOPLA), this exhibition curates the work of five photographers—Kristin Bedford, Rachel Bujalski, Allison Pharmakis, Josh S. Rose, and Lev Rukhin—each bringing a unique perspective to MOPLA’s 2016 theme: Diverse/City.
